La Crescenta-Montrose Wrong-way Crash on 210 Freeway Kills One Person

LA CRESCENTA-MONTROSE, CA (August 3, 2020) – Early in the morning on Monday, a wrong-way crash in La Crescenta-Montrose killed a person. The August 3 incident occurred on the eastbound side of the 210 Freeway, near Ocean View Boulevard.

The time was roughly 2:41 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

Reports say that a vehicle, which has not been described, was traveling in the wrong direction on the freeway, heading west in the lanes that head east. The wrong-way vehicle collided with another vehicle, which has also not been described.

Responders arrived and found one of the vehicles burning. One person died in the crash, but it is not known which vehicle the person had been traveling in.

The identity of the person who died has not been reported, including name, age, gender, and city of residence.

Neither driver has been identified.

Investigators are working to understand the crash and the factors that contributed to it. They are collecting details and information.
