JULIAN, CA (July 22, 2018) – A collision Sunday evening on Highway 78 in Julian caused major injuries. The accident occurred on the highway near the Great Southern Overland Stage Route.
The time was roughly 10:49 p.m.
A white pickup truck hit an animal on the road, California Highway Patrol says.
According to paramedics, one person had injuries that were described as major owing to the impact. The victim was taken by airlift to a hospital.
Other details were not yet available. Investigators are continuing to examine the details.
