Riverside, CA (November 7, 2023) – After a devastating incident, Jesus Rodriguez was arrested for a fatal DUI pedestrian crash that unfolded on Sunday afternoon, November 5. His actions claimed the life of an as-yet-unidentified man. Jesus Rodriguez, now faces serious charges.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:08 p.m. at the busy intersection of University Avenue and Main Street in Riverside. According to the Riverside Police Department, the suspect, identified as Rodriguez, was operating a silver Honda Civic at the time of the incident. Tragically, the vehicle struck a male pedestrian who was lawfully crossing the street within a marked crosswalk.
Following the collision, Jesus Rodriguez reportedly fled the scene without providing any assistance to the victim. Emergency medical personnel swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the injured pedestrian to Riverside Community Hospital. Despite their efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries.
Jesus Rodriguez Was Arrested On Gross Vehicular Manslaughter While Intoxicated and Felony Hit And Run
The Riverside Police Department is withholding the victim’s identity pending notification of the next of kin.
In the aftermath of the incident, law enforcement authorities managed to locate Rodriguez. Subsequent investigations revealed that he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Consequently, Jesus Rodriguez was taken into custody on charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and felony hit and run.
