Vehicle Smashes into Tree, In Irvine, Killing Three Young Men, Injuring One
IRVINE, CA (November 25, 2019) – Early in the morning on Friday in Irvine, three young men died and a fourth was seriously injured when the vehicle they were traveling in smashed into a tree at high speed and erupted in flames. The November 22 incident occurred on Harvard Avenue close to where University Drive is located.
The time was roughly 1:45 a.m., according to police and the Orange County Fire Authority.
Reports say a vehicle—described as a Mercedes-Benz, red in color—smashed into a tree. The wreckage of the Mercedes was burning when responders arrived.
Responders found that three people who had been traveling in the vehicle died at the crash site. They transported a fourth victim to the hospital. The condition of the person was described as critical.
According to reports, all of the victims were young men. None of the victims have been identified in reports. It is not known who the driver had been. The identity of the injured man who has been hospitalized has not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their examination of the details and information. According to reports, authorities believe speed was a factor in the crash.
