Two Young Men Identified as Two Other Victims Who Died in Irvine Crash; One Person Still Critical
IRVINE, CA (November 29, 2019) – Kiwook Seok and Jaehyeong Park were identified by authorities as the two other victims who were killed in a crash in Irvine last week. The November 22 incident occurred on Harvard Avenue close to University Drive.
The time was roughly 1:45 a.m., according to the Orange County Fire Authority and police.
Reports say a vehicle—described as a Mercedes-Benz—smashed into a tree at a high rate of speed. Responders arrived and discovered the vehicle was burning and smashed around the tree.
Three people died in the incident. Kiwook Seok was 20 years old and a resident of Irvine.
Jaehyeong Park was 21 years old and a resident of Irvine.
Yoseop Jeon was 18 years old.
A fourth victim is in critical condition. The identity of the survivor has not been reported.
According to reports, Park had been driving the vehicle when the incident occurred. Jeon, Seok, and the surviving young man had been passengers.
Investigators are continuing their examination of the details and evidence of the crash to determine the factors that contributed to it.
