Beach Boulevard Crash in Huntington Beach Kills Pedestrian
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (December 1, 2020) – Early in the evening on Monday in Huntington Beach, a pedestrian was struck and killed. The November 30 incident occurred on Beach Boulevard, close to Yorktown Avenue and to the north of it.
The time was roughly 6:12 p.m., Huntington Beach Police said.
The pedestrian had been going across Beach Boulevard, reports say, and a vehicle–described as a Mitsubishi Outlander–which had been heading south, struck him. Reports say the pedestrian may have been walking outside of a crosswalk.
Responders arrived and transported the man to UCI Medical Center. He died in the hospital.
His identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The person who had been driving the SUV stayed at the scene of the crash. She was identified as a resident of Corona del Mar, 59 years old. Her name has not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their work on the details related to the incident.
