Man Arrested for DUI, Crashing into Dump Truck in Hesperia
HESPERIA, CA (September 8, 2024) – A man was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) following a two-vehicle collision involving a dump truck on the 15 Freeway near Main Street early Sunday morning, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) incident logs.
The crash occurred around 12:06 a.m. on September 10 when a male driver of a sedan collided with a dump truck. After the crash, the driver attempted to flee by jumping over a fence onto Mariposa Avenue. However, officers quickly detained him and conducted a sobriety test, which confirmed that DUI was a factor in the collision.
Drunk Driver Received Lacerations To His Face
The driver sustained lacerations to his head and face, while the occupants of the dump truck were unharmed.
