Driver Airlifted After Traffic Accident in Hesperia
Hesperia, CA (July 27, 2024) – A woman was airlifted following a traffic accident at Arrowhead Lake Road and Saddle Dike Embankment on Saturday afternoon. The collision occurred at approximately 12:39 p.m. on July 27 at the entrance to the Deep Creek spillway/dam area.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a blue Subaru Outback was parked on the shoulder of the road when it was rear-ended by a green 2018 Tesla Model 3. The impact caused the Tesla to veer off the roadway and tumble down a steep embankment.
Female Driver of Tesla Was Found Unconscious At Bottom of Embankment
Emergency responders found the female driver of the Tesla unconscious at the bottom of the embankment. She later regained consciousness and reported stomach pain. The San Bernardino County Fire Department requested a medical helicopter, and Mercy Air landed on the dam to airlift the woman to Loma Linda University Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
The Cause of the Crash is Currently Under Investigation
