Man Critically Injured in 2-Car Crash on Kiowa Road
Apple Valley, CA (July 24, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision on Kiowa Road near Cayuga Road left one man with serious injuries early Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred around 8:00 a.m. when several drivers attempted to avoid hitting a dog on the road. According to reports, the driver of a white Chevy S10 failed to stop in time, crashing into a burgundy Nissan Frontier.
Man Remains In Critical Condition At St. Mary’s Medical Center
Paramedics arrived on the scene and found the driver of the Chevy trapped inside his vehicle. After extricating him, they transported him to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition. The occupants of the Nissan, a man and a woman, were fortunately unharmed.
Authorities closed Kiowa Road for two hours to conduct an investigation into the incident.
Drivers are reminded to slow down when other vehicles are braking and to maintain a safe following distance. Avoiding distractions, such as using a phone, is essential for safe driving.
