Stolen Vehicle Collides with Car on Magnolia Street in Garden Grove; Suspects Flee

GARDEN GROVE, CA (January 11, 2021) – In the morning on Friday in Garden Grove, a vehicle that was suspected stolen collided with a car. The suspects fled the scene of the January 8 incident, which occurred on Magnolia Street close to Stanford Avenue.

A vehicle–described as a Toyota, gold in color–had been stolen in Anaheim, reports say. It was traveling on Magnolia Street and heading north when the person driving did not stop for a light that was red. The Toyota collided with a vehicle–described as a Chevrolet Suburban, white in color.

Three of the people involved in the crash ran from the scene. Officers located one person in a residential area close to the crash site.

The person had suffered serious injuries to her head, reports say. Responders transported her to UCI Medical Center. Her current condition is not known.

She was identified only as 23 years old Her name and city of residence have not been reported.

Authorities are searching for the two other suspects who fled, who were identified only as male.

The person who had been driving the Chevrolet suffered injuries that were described as minor. The identity of the driver–including name, age, gender, and city of residence–has not been reported.

The owner of the stolen vehicle has also not bee identified in reports.
