Driver Crashes into House in Garden Grove
GARDEN GROVE, CA (May 21, 2019) – One person was injured early in the morning on Tuesday when the car he was driving smashed into a house in Garden Grove. The May 21 incident occurred on Manley Street in the 12000 block.
The time was roughly 6:15 a.m., the Garden Grove Fire Department said.
Reports say the driver had been inside a vehicle described as a Chevrolet Camaro when he crashed into and through a fence that is located in a strip mall parking lot. The car then smashed into the house.
Respondents arrived and discovered that gas was leaking. Firefighters worked the wreckage site and helped the victim, who had suffered injuries that were described as minor. The driver was identified as being in his 60s or 70s, and his name and city of residence have not been reported. It is not known from reports if he was taken to a medical facility for treatment.
According to reports, a person who lives at the house was not hurt. The identity of the person has not been reported. It is not known if the person inside the house at the time of the incident is the homeowner.
