Fullerton Wrong-way Crash at Magnolia Ave. and Valencia Dr. Kills One, Injures 3

FULLERTON, CA (January 28, 2021) – On Wednesday morning, a wrong-way crash killed one person and injured three others in Fullerton. The January 27 incident occurred in the area where Valencia Drive and Magnolia Avenue intersect.

The time was roughly 10:05 a.m., according to Jon Radus. Radus is a lieutenant with Fullerton Police.

A vehicle–described as a Chevrolet Silverado–traveled into the path of opposing traffic–and collided with Toyota Corolla, reports say. The impact of the collision sent the Chevrolet Silverado to overturn.

The Silverado hit another vehicle–described as a Ford Edge. The Toyota Corolla spun out, and hit a vehicle described as a Nissan Altima.

Responders arrived to help. They worked to extricate the occupants of the Toyota Corolla, who were trapped in the wreckage.

A woman who had been traveling in the Toyota died in the hospital. She was identified only as 21 years old. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.

Another occupant of the Toyota was transported to the hospital. The types of injuries suffered, and current condition of the patient, are not known.

The person was identified only as 18 years old. The name, gender, and city of residence of the person has not been reported.

Responders also transported two other people from the collision: one person identified as a man, 50 years old who had been in the Ford Edge; and one person identified as a man 36 years old who had been in the Chevrolet Silverado.

The types of injuries they suffered, and their current condition, is not known. Their names have not been reported.

Another person involved in the crash was not transported to the hospital by responders. The person was identified as a man 57 years old. He had been traveling in the Nissan Altima. His name has not been reported.
