Two-vehicle Collision on Highway 41 Near Fresno Closes Road
FRESNO, CA (September 18, 2019) – Two vehicles collided in the afternoon on Tuesday on Highway 41, leading to the closure of the road in an area north of SR-145. The September 17 incident occurred near Fresno and to the north of it, in the foothills.
The time was roughly a little after 1:00 p.m.
Reports say two vehicles crashed on the highway near Jewel Vista Court, close to the community called O’Neals. The accident led to the closure of the highway in both directions. According to Justin Foraker, who is a public information officer in the Central Division of the California Highway Patrol, the closure would last for a while.
The vehicles involved in the crash have not bee described, though one of them may have been a large truck. The driver of each of the vehicles has not been identified, including name, age, gender, and city of residence.
It is not known if anyone was hurt. It is also not known from reports if anyone else had been traveling in either of the vehicles at the time of the crash.
Investigators are working to collect details and information to understand what caused the collision. At this time, no other details are known.
