Hit-and-run Driver Kills Man in El Cajon Near Chase and South Lincoln Avenue
EL CAJON, CA (November 7, 2019) – A man who was walking in El Cajon was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Wednesday night. The November 6 incident occurred in the area of South Lincoln Avenue and Chase Avenue.
The time was roughly 6:25 p.m., according to El Cajon Police.
Reports say the pedestrian was walking across the road in the intersection which is unmarked. A vehicle struck the man, pulled a U-turn, and fled the scene, police said.
A Good Samaritan performed CPR on the victim until responders arrived. The victim was pronounced deceased in the hospital.
He was identified only as 58 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the incident and the suspected driver. The vehicle was described has a small sedan with four doors, white or silver in color. The vehicle will have a damaged front.
