Driver Killed After Running Red Light, Causing Three-Car CrashA driver of an SUV was killed after he allegedly ran a red light and collided with two other vehicles. The accident happened Thursday morning in North Hills, said police.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene at about 5:40 a.m. The accident happened at Haskell Avenue and Parthenia Street, said Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Jimmy Chong. The name and age of the driver was immediately known. A driver of another involved vehicle was transported to an area hospital. That person remains in stable condition.

The name and age of the other injured driver was not released either. It is not clear if anyone else was injured in the accident, or if there was anybody in the third vehicle that was involved.

The driver that ran the red light was driving a Chevrolet Blazer. The Blazer was headed south on Haskell when it drove through the red light intersection and collided with a westbound driver, according to Chong. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.

Currently, police are still investigating the accident.
