Driver Gets Probation In Crash That Electrocuted 2Arman Samsonian, 21, of Glendale, was sentenced to three years probation, 70 days of community service and work one day at the morgue for a car wreck that electrocuted the two people who rushed to help him, said prosecutors Wednesday.

Samsonian is also ordered to pay restitution to both victims.

In August 2012, two good samaritans ran to help Samsonian after his car hit a fire hydrant in Valley Village. A light pole that had fallen electrified the water. Witnesses say Samsonian was rushing to get to the gym when he crashed. It was not clear if Samsonian was injured in the crash.

Irma Zamora, 40, died when she tried to help Samsonian. Daniel Woloszyn, Zamora’s husband said they were in the line of traffic behind the accident and his wife called 911 on her cell phone before running over to help the driver. She died when she stepped into the water.

Stacey Schreiber, 39, was also killed when she tried to help save Zamora.

Samsonian pleaded to contest to vehicle manslaughter in May, and the judge said Samsonian will go to prison if he commits another vehicular violation while on probation.
