DESERT CENTER, CA (June 29, 2018) – A crash on the eastbound 10 Freeway near Highway 177 in Desert Center killed one person Friday night. Around 11:07 p.m., one vehicle was involved in the deadly accident.
A pickup truck that had a camper shell on the back crashed for reasons that are not currently known, California Highway Patrol says. The crash caused the camper on the pickup to fall down and roll over into the embankment on the right shoulder.
Rescuers who attended the scene of the crash noted the death of the victim at the crash scene. The identity of the deceased person has not yet been released.
No other details have yet been reported. Investigators are looking into the crash to determine the cause.
