BONSALL, CA (December 16, 2020) – On Tuesday morning in Bonsall, a bicyclist died after he was struck by a big rig. The December 15 incident occurred on State Route 76 close to North River Road and to the west of it.
The time was roughly 10:15 a.m., according to Mark Latulippe. Latulippe is an officer with the California Highway Patrol.
The bicyclist had been riding in a bicycle lane on State Route 76, and a big rig–described as a Freightliner–which had been pulling a trailer, struck him from behind.
The force of the crash threw the rider from the bicycle. Responders arrived and pronounced him deceased at the crash site.
