Man Identified as Victim Killed by Vehicle in Beaumont Parking Lot
BEAUMONT, CA (July22, 2019) – Darren Kritzberger was identified by officials from the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner as the person who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Beaumont in the morning on Friday. The July 19 incident occurred in the parking lot located on East 5th Avenue in the 200 block. The parking lot was located at the auto repair shop where Kritzberger worked.
The time was roughly 10:20 a.m.
Reports say that a vehicle—described as a Subaru SUV, silver in color—got off the 10 Freeway, which is close to the auto repair shop. The Subaru then drove fast through the repair shop’s parking lot, according to Beaumont Police.
The Subaru hit Kritzberger, who was working at the shop. Kritzberger died at the accident site. He was 50 years old and a resident of Beaumont.
Responders transported the SUV’s driver to a hospital. The injuries he suffered were described as minor. His identity, including his name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
