Bakersfield Hit-and-run Crash at South Laurelglen Blvd. and Gosford Road Injuries Motorcyclists

BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 16, 2020) – Two motorcyclists–the driver and a passenger–were injured in a hit-and-run crash in Bakersfield on Saturday night. The September 12 incident occurred in the area of South Laurelglen Boulevard and Gosford Road.

The time was roughly 10:30 p.m., according to Bakersfield Police.

The motorcycle, and a vehicle described only as a sedan, collided. According to Police, the sedan made a turn to the left in the motorcycle’s path. However, reports say, it is not yet known which driver had the right of way.

The three people who had been traveling in the sedan ran from the crash site, according to Bakersfield Police.

Responders arrived and found the man who had been driving the motorcycle suffered serious injuries. His condition was described as critical. His identity–including name, age, and city of residence–has not been reported.

Responders transported him, and the passenger on the motorcycle, to a hospital. The types of injuries the passenger suffered, and her current condition, are not known. Her identity has also not been reported.

Investigators are searching for the suspects who fled the crash site. If anyone has information about the incident, the person can call Bakersfield Police. The number is 327-7111.
