BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 26, 2018) – James Allen Morse was riding a 2004 Harley-Davidson eastbound on Olive Drive when the accident which killed him occurred either on June 22 or June 23, according to different reports. In a news release, California Highway Patrol and the Kern County coroner’s office said the 56-year-old was traveling at an indeterminate speed.
According to reports, Luciano R. DeJesus, who is from Bakersfield, make a left turn in front of Morse’s motorcycle. This caused Morse to lay down his bike to try to avoid colliding with the other vehicle. The collision occurred, nevertheless.
Rescuers brought Morse to Kern Medical Center where he died from his injuries. DeJesus, who is 46, and his passenger, were not injured.
An investigation is being conducted.
