Two-vehicle Collision and Car Fire Near Arroyo Grande on Highway 101 Causes Damage and Delays
ARROYO GRANDE, CA (October 16, 2019) – Early in the morning on Wednesday, two vehicles collided on Highway 101 near Arroyo Grande, and a car fire was reported. The October 16 incidents occurred on the northbound side of the highway, near the off-ramp for Los Berros Road and to the south of it.
The time of the first incident was roughly 5:00 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Reports say the California Highway Patrol and Cal Fire arrived on scene to help at the site of the car fire incident. It is not clear from reports what caused the car to erupt in flames. The vehicle has not been described.
The identity of the driver of the vehicle has not been reported, including the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence. It is not known if anyone else had been in the vehicle when the incident occurred. Reports do not say if anyone was hurt.
According to reports, another incident occurred in the vicinity of the car fire incident. Two vehicles collided some time after 5:45 a.m. Neither of the vehicles has been described.
