Man Injured in ATV Crash in Arroyo Grande; Driver Killed
ARROYO GRANDE, CA (August 19, 2019) – Brian Bullough was injured on Friday night when the ATV he had been riding on crashed in Arroyo Grande. The August 16 incident killed the driver, who was identified only as a man 36 years old and a resident of Santa Barbara.
The incident occurred close to Milton Street and Los Berros Road on private property. The time was roughly 10:30 p.m., the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office said.
Reports say the two people had been riding on a Polaris ATV. The driver, for reasons that are not known, lost control of the vehicle. According to the California Highway Patrol, the ATV left a driveway, struck a tree, then spun, and hit another tree.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man who had been driving the ATV was not wearing safety equipment. He died at the accident site.
Bullough, who was riding as a passenger, had been strapped in on the vehicle. Reports say Bullough suffered injuries that were described as major. Bullough’s current condition is not known. Bullough is a resident of Seal Beach.
Investigators are continuing to work on gathering information regarding the incident.
