APPLE VALLEY, CA (July 16, 2018) – A pedestrian died after a motorcycle hit her on Bear Valley Road Monday evening. The accident happened at the intersection with Algonquin Road a little before 9:00 p.m.
The victim, whose identity was not reported, was walking across the road, California Highway Patrol says. A black motorcycle, described as a 1986 Harley-Davidson, hit her as it was heading east.
A coroner who was called to the scene pronounced the woman deceased.
The impact threw the motorcyclist from the bike. Responders took the victim to a hospital with injuries that were described as not life threatening.
Investigators are continuing their examination of this accident.
