Anne Heche Crashes into Mar Vista Area House and is Seriously Injured In Los Angeles, CA

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 8, 2022) – Late in the morning on Friday in Los Angeles, actor Anne Heche crashed into a house and a fire erupted. Heche was seriously injured in the August 5 crash, reports say, which occurred in the Mar Vista area.

The time was roughly 11:00 a.m., according to Tony Im. Im is a police officer with Los Angeles Police.

Authorities suspect Heche was driving at a fast speed, and when her vehicle approached an intersection that formed a “T”, her car went off the roadway and smashed into the house.

The car–described as a Mini Cooper Clubman–ended up inside the house and it erupted in flames.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, roughly 60 firefighters worked to extinguish the fire for over an hour.

Responders transported Heche to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Reports say the house was damaged to the extent it was no longer habitable. The identity of the owner of the house has not been reported.

No one else was injured in the crash, reports say.

Investigators are at work and continuing their efforts to collect information and details to understand the crash.
