Mercedes and a Toyota RAV4 Involved in Two-Vehicle Crash In Fontana
FONTANA, CA (May 16, 2025) — A two-vehicle collision in Fontana left at least one person injured Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 2:04 p.m. on May 16 in the 9200 block of Redwood Avenue, near Randall Avenue. CHP officials said a white Mercedes and a Toyota RAV4 were involved in the crash, both vehicles suffering significant front-end damage.
Initial Reports Indicate One Driver Remained In Their Vehicle In a State of Shock
Initial reports indicated that one of the drivers remained inside their vehicle following the collision and was attempting to stay calm while showing signs of shock.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported at least one individual to a nearby hospital. The severity of the injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Multiple Lanes Were Blocked Until The Wreckage Was Cleared
The crash blocked multiple lanes of traffic, and authorities requested several tow trucks to assist in clearing the wreckage.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
