Young Motorcyclist Killed in Tragic Crash; Investigation Underway
COLTON, CA (February 25, 2025) – A 21-year-old motorcyclist from Colton, identified as Leonardo Castellanos, tragically lost his life following a collision with a sports utility vehicle at a four-way intersection in Colton.
The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on February 25 at the intersection of South Hunts Lane and East Oliver Holmes Road, according to the Colton Police Department Communications Center. Emergency responders, including police and paramedics from the Colton Fire Department, arrived at the scene and found Castellanos severely injured. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Leonardo Castellanos Fatal Crash Is Under Investigation And The Role Traffic Lights Played In It
The Colton Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. The intersection is controlled by traffic lights and permissive left-turn arrows, but authorities have not yet determined whether any traffic violations played a role in the collision.
