Oxnard Man Critically Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Wooley Road

Man Critically Struck By SUV Near Oxnard Boulevard
OXNARD, CA (December 8, 2024) – A 56-year-old local man was critically injured in a pedestrian accident on Wooley Road Sunday morning, December 8.
The incident occurred around 8:25 a.m. just east of Oxnard Boulevard, when the man was crossing Wooley Road in an area not designated for pedestrians. According to the Oxnard Police Department, the man was struck by an SUV that slowed down but was unable to stop in time. A second vehicle traveling in the same direction was able to stop and avoid hitting the pedestrian.
Paramedics Responded Quickly To Transport The Victim To The Hospital
Paramedics quickly responded to the scene and transported the victim to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition.
Both drivers involved remained at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation. At this time, authorities do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the crash.
