Westminster Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident On Westminster Ave.

Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident Leaves Man Dead

WESTMINSTER, CA (October 22, 2024)  — A man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident late Tuesday night at the intersection of Yockey Street and Westminster Avenue, according to the Westminster Police Department.

The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. when a driver in a dark-colored sedan, traveling eastbound on Westminster Boulevard, hit the victim—believed to be in his 40s or 50s—and then fled the scene. The circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear.

Authorities Attempted To Save Man’s Life But Were Unsuccessful

Paramedics from the Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead shortly after. Authorities have not yet released his identity.
