West Hollywood, CA (October 24, 2023) – Two law enforcement officers required medical attention following a hit-and-run incident during a police pursuit near San Vicente Boulevard and Cynthia Street.
2 Deputies Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Police Pursuit Crash near San Vicente Boulevard in West Hollywood
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the hit-and-run transpired just before 4:35 p.m. on Thursday. Deputies from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station were responding to a burglary call, initiating a brief pursuit of the suspected burglar. However, the situation took a drastic turn when the suspect executed a U-turn, colliding with the pursuing deputies’ vehicle.
Both Officers Injured In The Collision Were Transported To Cedars Sinai
Both officers sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious and were promptly transported to Cedars Sinai Medical Center for medical care. Unfortunately, the suspect managed to escape the scene, prompting a plea from law enforcement for assistance from witnesses in identifying and locating the driver. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a black Dodge Challenger with a Nevada license plate.
