Driver Crashes into Vehicles and a Victor Valley Home, Setting Them on Fire
VICTORVILLE, CA (February 11, 2019) – Early Sunday morning, a driver crashed into vehicles and a house in Victor Valley, setting them on fire. The February 10 accident occurred on Riverview Drive in the 13000 block, in the area of Spring Valley Lake.
The time was roughly 10:00 a.m., according to San Bernardino County Fire.
According to the fire department, crews could see a large smoke plume before they arrived on scene. Respondents from the fire department said a one-story building was on fire and that wind conditions were dangerous. Homes near the fire were threatened. Several vehicles were also caught in the fire.
Fire personnel extinguished the blaze. According to the Fire Department, the vehicle that had initiated the accident had been occupied by one person only. Fire officials said no civilians were hurt in the blaze; however, one of the firefighting crew suffered injuries that were described as minor.
The person who had been driving the vehicle that crashed has not been identified, including the name, age, gender, and city of residence of the person.
The owners of the house that burned have not yet been identified. No details are currently known regarding why the crash happened. Investigators are examining the details and information to understand the circumstances that led to the accident.
