Lakewood Multi-vehicle Crash Kills Two and Injures Three; DUI Suspected
LAKEWOOD, CA (June 7, 2021) – Two people were killed and three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Lakewood on Friday. The June 4 incident occurred on South Street in the 6100 block.
The time was roughly 10:06 p.m., Lakewood Police said.
Reports say three vehicles–which have not been described–collided. The manner in which the crash occurred–including the line of travel of each vehicle prior to colliding, and the sequence of the crash–has not been described.
Two people died in the crash. They were identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner as in their forties. The names and cities of residence of the two men have not been reported.
Three people were injured in the crash, one of them seriously. None of the people have been identified. It is not known who the driver of each vehicle had been when the crash occurred.
According to reports, one driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The identity of the person has not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their work on the crash.
