Rodolfo Tovar Rodriguez Struck and Killed While Walking in Santa Maria
SANTA MARIA, CA (December 28, 2018) – Rodolfo Tovar Rodriguez was struck and killed by a vehicle late Wednesday afternoon while he was walking in Santa Maria. The December 26 accident occurred on S. Broadway in the 1400 block.
The time was a little before 6:00 p.m.
According to reports, police found a man lying on the road in the lanes that travel southbound, close to the Foods Co. shopping center. Responders transported the victim to a hospital. The victim died in the hospital.
Police identified the victim as Rodolfo Tovar Rodriguez, an 84 year old. His city of residence has not yet been reported.
What caused the accident, and the type of vehicle that hit Rodriguez has not yet been reported. The identity of the vehicle’s driver, the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence have also not yet been reported.
Where Rodriguez was located on the road at the time of the accident is not known, though reports say that police have talked with a number of witnesses.
