SAN DIEGO, CA (May 15, 2019) – A woman was rescued from a fiery two-vehicle crash on I-5 early Wednesday morning in San Diego. The other driver fled the scene of the May 15 accident, which occurred in the freeway’s southbound lanes, close to Imperial Avenue near the East Village.
The time was roughly 12:15 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say a witness had been driving behind the two vehicles that collided. The vehicles were described as a Toyota Camry and a Jeep SUV. The force of the collision caused the SUV to roll over. The Toyota ended up in the median of the freeway.
