Rialto, CA (November 2, 2023) – In a heartbreaking incident near Cedar Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, a pedestrian lost their life in a fatal accident that occurred at approximately 8:38 p.m. on October 29, according to reports.
Man Hit and Killed by Car After Stepping Off Center Median on Cedar Avenue
Under circumstances yet to be determined, the pedestrian, a man, was walking near a raised center median, outside the confines of a designated crosswalk, when he unexpectedly stepped into the No. 1 southbound lane. The consequences were devastating, as a 57-year-old man behind the wheel of a blue Toyota Camry collided with him.
The 57 Year Old Driver Cooperated With Authorities
Law enforcement swiftly responded to the scene, where they proceeded to question the driver. The driver, identified as a 57-year-old resident of Rialto, remained cooperative during the investigative process. Simultaneously, paramedics rushed to the site and transported the injured pedestrian to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Unfortunately, despite medical intervention, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries, and officials have chosen not to release the victim’s identity at this time.
