Crash on Oxnard Blvd. Critically Injures Pedestrian in Oxnard, CA
OXNARD, CA (February 21, 2022) – Late at night on Sunday in Oxnard, a pedestrian was struck and critically injured. The February 20 crash occurred on Oxnard Boulevard.
The time was roughly a little before 11:00 p.m., Oxnard Police said.
A vehicle–described only as an SUV–had been traveling on Oxnard Boulevard and heading north. Reports say a person abruptly walked across the street, and the vehicle struck him.
Responders transported the patient to VCMC for treatment. The injuries he suffered have not been described.
His condition was described as critical. His identity has not been reported.
The person who was driving the vehicle remained at the crash site and cooperated with the investigation. The driver has also not been identified.
Investigators are working on the crash details and continuing to gather information.
