Orange Traffic Collision on 22 Freeway Leaves One Injured

Extra Traffic Caused on Westbound 22 Freeway After Minor Collision
Orange, CA (April 16, 2025) — A two-vehicle collision on the westbound 22 Freeway at the Tustin Street on-ramp Wednesday afternoon left at least one person injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash, which occurred around 1:45 p.m., involved a red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a silver Acura RDX. Initially reported as a minor incident with no injuries, the situation was later escalated when one of the parties reported injuries, prompting a call for emergency medical assistance.
CHP Officials Treated One Person For Minor Injuries
First responders from the California Highway Patrol and paramedics from Station 91 arrived on the scene to assess and treat the injured. The individual who sustained injuries was reported to have been in the silver Acura.
The collision temporarily affected traffic flow in the area as emergency crews worked to clear the vehicles and ensure the roadway was safe for travel. One unnamed resident of Corona, CA feared it would be dark by the time they got home to their family.
CHP investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the accident.
