Head-on Fiery Collision Kills One Person Near Moreno Valley

MORENO VALLEY, CA (January 31, 2019) – A head-on collision, which caused a vehicle to erupt in flames, killed one person late Wednesday morning in Moreno Valley. The January 30 accident occurred on Gillman Springs Road, close to Bridge Street, the California Highway Patrol said.

The time was roughly 11:00 a.m.

Reports say that two vehicles—described as a big rig and an SUV—collided head on. The SUV—which reports say was a Dodge Durango—erupted in flames following the crash’s impact.

Responders arrived and pronounced one person deceased at the accident scene. The victim’s identity—including the name, age, gender, and city of residence—have not been reported. It is not known from reports if the victim was a driver of either vehicle, or a passenger.
