Collision on 60 Freeway Near Moreno Valley Involves 13 Vehicles
MORENO VALLEY, CA (December 7, 2018) – A collision in the morning on Thursday near Moreno Valley on the 10 Freeway involved 13 vehicles. The December 6 accident occurred in the 60 Freeway’s westbound lanes, close to the 10 Freeway, California Highway Patrol says.
The accident site was near Gilman Springs Road, about three miles to the east of it, and located between the communities of Beaumont and Moreno Valley.
The time was roughly 6:30 a.m.
Authorities had to close the 60 Freeway in both direction where the transition is located to the 10 Freeway. Reports say that some of the drivers who were stuck in the traffic snarl due to the accident drove in the wrong direction to try to exit the freeway.
It has not yet been reported what caused the accident, who the people were who were involved, and if anyone was injured. No details have yet been reported on the types of vehicles involved in the wreck.
Investigators are looking into the information and details.
