Man Riding Bicycle Struck and Killed Near Yorktown Avenue in Huntington Beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (April 9, 2020) – Last Wednesday night, a man riding a bicycle was struck and killed in Huntington Beach. The April 1 incident occurred in the vicinity of Vasile Circle and Yorktown Avenue.
The time was roughly 8:00 p.m., Eric Warken said. Warken is a sergeant with Huntington Beach Police.
Reports say a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle, described as a Honda Pilot. The manner in which the collision occurred has not been described. It is not clear where the bicyclist had been traveling and what path the vehicle had been traveling when the collision occurred.
Responders arrived and discovered the victim down on the road. He was pronounced deceased. His identity, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The person who had been driving the Honda stayed at the incident site and cooperated with investigators. The driver was identified only as a resident of Huntington Beach, 46 years old. The driver’s name and gender have not been reported.
