Long Beach Female Pedestrian Struck & Killed Crossing Bellflower Boulevard
LONG BEACH, CA (November 20, 2024) – Lynnette Aguilar, 52, of Long Beach, died Wednesday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Bellflower Boulevard near Centralia Street.
The fatal accident occurred at approximately 6:35 p.m., according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD). Investigators determined that Lynnette Aguilar was attempting to cross Bellflower Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a northbound 2014 Jeep Patriot driven by a 65-year-old Lakewood resident.
Lynnette Aguilar Was Pronounced Dead At The Scene
Emergency responders pronounced Lynnette Aguilar dead at the scene. The driver remained at the site of the collision and cooperated with authorities.
LBPD stated that speed, distracted driving, and impairment are not believed to have contributed to the crash.
