Luis Felix, 18, Arrested After Police Chase Kills 2 In Suspected DUI Crash

Two Killed, Seven Injured in Fresno County Crash Following Police Chase; DUI Suspect Arrested

CLOVIS, CA (March 29, 2025)  – Luis Felix, a suspected DUI driver, was arrested after a high-speed police chase ended in tragedy Saturday night when he crashed at Temperance and Belmont Avenues, killing two people and injuring seven others, authorities said.

The deadly collision occurred around 9:40 p.m. on March 29, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Luis Felix Was Spotted Driving Recklessly When Police Attempted To Pull Him Over

The suspect, 18-year-old Luis Felix of Fresno, was allegedly driving recklessly in a Dodge Charger when officers attempted to pull him over. Instead of stopping, Felix fled with four passengers in his vehicle, leading police on a pursuit that ended in a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection.

Investigators say the Dodge clipped the rear of a Toyota Camry stopped at a stop sign, causing it to spin out before the Dodge collided head-on with a Chevrolet Tahoe traveling north on Temperance Avenue.

Andrew Webb and Adrian Labra Jr. Were Killed In The Crash

Two passengers in the Dodge, identified as Andrew Webb, 19, of Fresno, and Adrian Labra Jr., 19, of Sacramento, died at the scene. Another 20-year-old passenger was critically injured, while a fourth passenger, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained only minor injuries.

Felix was also critically injured and taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the Tahoe was an off-duty Fresno County Sheriff’s deputy, who was traveling with his wife and three young children, ages 1, 4, and 9. His wife suffered moderate injuries, while the children were treated for minor injuries. The driver of the Toyota also sustained minor injuries.

Luis Felix Faces 4 Felony Charges Including Evading Police

The Clovis Police Department is handling the criminal charges against Felix, who has been electronically booked into jail. He faces four felony charges, including one count of evading police and three counts of evading police resulting in injury or death. His bail has been set at $355,000.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
