Hit-and-run Crash on Pacific Avenue Kills Woman in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, CA (May 21, 2019) – A hit-and-run crash killed a woman Monday night in Long Beach. The May 20 incident occurred on Pacific Avenue close to 25th Street.
The time was roughly 9:20 p.m., Abram Yap said. Yap, who is a lieutenant with the Long Beach Police Department, provided some details.
Police officers arrived on scene and saw that the victim had died at the accident site. She has not been identified, and her name, age, and city of residence have not been reported. It is not known from reports where she had been walking when she was struck.
The vehicle that hit the victim fled the accident site. No long after, police found what they think was the vehicle involved in the incident. The vehicle was located close to 32nd Street and Long Beach Boulevard. According to reports, police had stopped to two people who were in custody.
