Collision on 210 Freeway Involving Wrong-way Driver Kills Two People in La Canada Flintridge
LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, CA (September 10, 2018) – A collision on the 210 Freeway on Sunday in La Canada Flintridge killed two people.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver had been going the wrong way on the freeway and caused a collision which killed him and the driver of another vehicle. However, the collision was so violent, CHP said, that they are not certain which driver caused the crash.
The coroner’s office said the victims were Bruce Alvarenga, a 24-year-old resident of Panorama City, and Kevork Khamisian, a 32-year-old resident of Sun Valley.
At 1:46 a.m., a call was made to CHP that a driver was traveling eastbound in the lanes of the freeway that go westbound in the area of the Angeles Crest Highway, also known as the 2 Highway. A few minutes later, the collision occurred.
