Crash on Palm Avenue In Imperial Beach Kills Pedestrian
IMPERIAL BEACH, CA (April 1, 2021) – On Wednesday night in Imperial Beach, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed. The March 30 incident occurred on Palm Avenue, in an area between Florida Street and and 12th Street.
The time was roughly 10:50 p.m., Christopher Allen said. Allen is a deputy with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.
According to Allen, the pedestrian had been going across Palm Avenue, and a vehicle–described as a Dodge Challenger–struck him.
Responders arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the crash site. His identity–including name, age, and city of residence–has not been reported.
The person who had been driving the vehicle stayed at the crash site. The driver’s identity has not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their work on gathering details to understand the incident.
