Wrong-way Driver Crash on 101 Freeway Involves 10 Vehicles in Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD, CA (February 15, 2022) – On Monday in Hollywood, a wrong-way driver crash on the 101 Freeway involved as many as 10 vehicles. The February 14 crash occurred on the northbound side of the roadway.
The time was roughly noon, according to the California Highway Patrol, when they began receiving reports from drivers of a wrong-way vehicle.
The wrong-way driver was traveling southbound in the north lanes and, according to reports, the person crashed closed to the offramp for Sunset Boulevard.
Early reports say as many as 10 vehicles were involved in the crash, but it is not clear how each vehicle was affected. Neither the sequence of the crashes, nor a description of the vehicles has been reported.
No one involved in the crash has been identified, and injuries that may have been suffered have not yet been described.
Investigators are in the process of collecting information regarding the crash.
