Minor Injury Reported After CHP Officer Collides with Driver on Main Street in Hesperia
HESPERIA, CA (September 22, 2024) – A collision involving a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer and another driver resulted in a minor injury on Main Street near E Avenue on Sunday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 11:10 a.m., according to initial reports.
CHP Was Speeding Down Main Street With No Sirens On Before The Crash
Witnesses at the scene reported seeing the CHP officer speeding down Main Street without any lights or sirens activated. The patrol vehicle, a Dodge Charger, subsequently collided with a Chevrolet Trax that was attempting to turn left into a Burger King parking lot.
The force of the impact caused both vehicles to veer onto the sidewalk, sustaining significant damage. While the CHP officer emerged from the crash unscathed, the driver of the Chevrolet Trax reported a minor injury.
