What is The Best Way To Avoid a Head-on Collision?
There are several things you can do to avoid a head-on collision:
- Stay alert: Always be aware of your surroundings and keep your focus on the road ahead. Avoid distractions, such as texting or talking on the phone.
- Stay in your lane: Always drive in your designated lane and avoid crossing the center line or driving on the wrong side of the road.
- Use your headlights: Turn on your headlights, even during the day, to make your vehicle more visible to other drivers.
- Slow down: If you see an oncoming vehicle in your lane, slow down as quickly and safely as possible.
- Sound your horn: If you see an oncoming vehicle in your lane, honk your horn to alert the other driver and try to get their attention.
- Pull over: If you can’t avoid a head-on collision, try to pull over to the side of the road or into a ditch to minimize the impact.
