Fresno, CA (October 6, 2023) – In the early hours of Saturday, a DUI-involved incident unfolded at the intersection of Dickenson Avenue and Muscat Avenue, resulting in a single-car crash that led the vehicle to plunge into a canal.
DUI Driver Injured, Car Crashes Into Canal at Dickenson Avenue and Muscat Avenue
Reports indicate that the accident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. Allegedly, the driver lost control due to driving under the influence (DUI) and subsequently crashed the vehicle into a water canal. The impact caused the car to overturn and become submerged in the canal.
Upon the arrival of authorities, three men, aged between 20 and 30, were discovered outside the vehicle. While two of them claimed to have sustained no injuries, the driver required medical attention. Subsequently, law enforcement arrested the driver on charges related to driving under the influence.
Injured Driver Was Transported To Community Regional Hospital
Paramedics attended to the injured driver, transporting him to Community Regional Medical Center for the treatment of moderate injuries sustained in the crash.
California Highway Patrol is urging anyone with additional information about the incident to come forward and contact them.
