Gonzalez and Cortez Involved in Street Race Crash and Police Chase
The incident unfolded around 2:13 a.m., catching the attention of law enforcement officials from the Fontana Police Department. A white Toyota Camry and a white Dodge Charger were observed engaging in a dangerous street race within the vicinity of Catawba and Slover avenues.
In response to the hazardous street race, officers swiftly intervened, initiating a traffic stop. However, the drivers of the Toyota Camry and Dodge Charger defied the authorities, accelerating away south on Catawba Avenue, determined to evade capture.
